Brides-to-be are now getting "hand-lifts" for their engagement selfies
THERE’S NO QUESTION that the “engagement selfie” trend is getting bigger and bigger – just search #engaged on Instagram and you’ll see what we mean.
But some women are taking extreme measures to create the perfect photo of their newly-acquired rocks.
They’re getting “hand-lifts”, cosmetic procedures that promise beautiful, youthful-looking hands.
The five to ten minute procedure, which is basically Botox for hands, lasts around nine months. That’s nine months of baby soft, youthful hands, for the low low price of $1200.
Dr Ariel Ostad, a doctor who carries the “hand-lifts”, said the main aim of the procedure was to conceal the “underlining structures” of the hand. So bones, veins, general miscellanea that mark you out as a human being.
One woman who has had a hand-lift, Alexandra Berry, told PIX11 news why she decided to go for it. (Her fiancé thought the whole thing was “hilarious”, naturally.)
How about never? Never is a good time.
